Aspiring Embakasi East Member of Parliament Cosmas Ombori, alias Cosmas Choy, has publicly declared his belief that Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is destined to become Kenya’s next Head of State after President William Ruto completes his term in 2032.

Speaking in a Facebook video on Monday, June 16, 2025, Choy described Kindiki as a leader who has proven himself to be trustworthy, God-fearing, and widely accepted across the country.

Choy, who did not shy away from drumming up support for his 2027 parliamentary seat, stated that Kindiki enjoys the favour of many due to his humility and integrity, qualities Choy said distinguish him from other political figures like Rigathi Gachagua.

“I am your Embakasi MP-in-waiting come 2027, and I want to speak the truth as I always do. Mark my words, in 2032, the President of Kenya will be Kindiki. He will win by a landslide. Once Ruto finishes his term, Kindiki will secure between 60 to 65 per cent of the vote,” he said.

Choy further explained that Kindiki commands support from across the country’s major voting blocs, suggesting that if he picks a Luo running mate, the race would be as good as decided in his favour.

On that, he defended that the overwhelming admiration Kindiki commands stems from his pure-hearted nature and the strong Christian values he embodies.

“If Kindiki chooses a running mate from the Luo community, that election will be sealed. The entire Coast region loves Kindiki. Go to North Eastern—he is loved there too. Everywhere you go, people support him because he has a pure heart; he is a man of God, a Christian, and a faithful person,” he added.

Drawing comparisons with Gachagua, Choy remarked that Kindiki’s reputation has grown even in regions considered to be Gachagua’s strongholds.

He insisted that Kindiki, unlike Gachagua, enjoys widespread support across various regions, including the Coast, and dismissed Gachagua as a politician whose political voyage is unlikely to sail to success.

“Unlike Gachagua, Kindiki is well accepted in places like Nyeri, Laikipia, and Murang’a. He is everywhere, and that is why he is loved,” Choy noted.

He concluded by affirming that there is no one who will unseat President Ruto in 2027 and that the political path is aligned for Kindiki to be the fifth president of Kenya in 2032.

Bold ballot dreams

The statement by the former trucker comes just months after he stepped down from his role at a US-based trucking firm to pursue his bid for the Embakasi East parliamentary seat in the 2027 general election.

Choy, an outspoken and polarising figure on social media, is seeking to replace incumbent Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, whom he had strongly embraced in recent days.

In a post on X on Monday, February 24, 2025, Choy announced his departure from Ryder, a logistics company where he worked.

“Just resigned from this international company, Ryder18 wheels 🛞. I am running for MP, Embakasi East 2027. Message approved 💯 %,” Cosmos Choy wrote on X on Monday,” he wrote, punctuating the statement with his signature directness.
