Dem Wa Facebook graces Obinna’s show and refutes knowing his relationship status
Comedienne Dem Wa Facebook was among the A-list of celebrities who graced the sold-out ‘My Mistakes’ show by her former boss, Oga Obinna, on the night of Saturday, June 7, 2025.
The comedienne took time to shower him with heartfelt words in honour of his birthday.
Dem Wa Facebook, who was dressed in a flair suit crowned with a tiara, spoke at length about Obinna and even mentioned that she does not know whether he is currently seeing someone or whether he may be in a serious relationship, especially following their past fallout.
“Birthday message… I might as well sing for him now that he is ageing; he should get married already. I do not know whether he has someone, but I wish him a happy birthday; may he keep glowing, and may he not grow old too fast,” she said.
The comedienne went on to lay bare the kind of wishes she had for him now that he had turned a year older, and one of the most profound among them was that God should continue lifting him higher and higher.
Dem Wa Facebook noted that that particular wish was born out of the deep gratitude she harbours for the way he once lifted her up, and she expressed that she would not wish for him to age too quickly because she hopes he can continue extending such uplifting support to many others who come after her.
“His birthday gift surprise was actually how he is still growing strong – it is almost like he is turning twenty – he is still young, and we are immensely proud of him; may God continue raising him and holding his hand so that he can uplift others as well,” she added.
She also reflected on the life lessons she picked up from Obinna during the time they worked closely together, and she revealed that one of the most significant lessons she learnt from him was the secret of relentless hard work.
She hailed Obinna as someone who embodies tireless effort and hustle, and she emphasised that she too has embraced a hard-working spirit in all her endeavours because she recognised how crucial it is to be industrious in one’s career.
“I am a queen, and I must wear my crown. One of the mistakes we have come to talk about – I do not even know what he will say it is – but what I want to say is that I learnt a lot from him, and the best of all was hard work – he is extremely hard-working.”
My Mistakes
The comedienne, who had previously been a football player before her brief foray into the entertainment scene, also dismissed claims that Obinna had intended to unveil her as one of the mistakes he planned to highlight during his show.
She said that she does not see any reason why she would be among the so-called mistakes, adding that their time together had been smooth sailing.
However, on the same note, Dem Wa Facebook opened up about a personal mistake she deeply regrets – getting into a romantic relationship too early during her younger years.
She shared that she feels as though that stands out as one of the mistakes she personally regrets, but she was quick to insist that she had drawn out a very crucial life lesson from that chapter of her life.
She added that the mistake remains part of her past, and in spite of that early relationship setback, she still looks forward to getting married in a proper wedding ceremony where she will invite her friends and share videos to commemorate the moment.
“There is no mistake I have ever made except getting into a relationship when I was young – that is the only mistake – but I will still have my wedding, I will post the videos, and I will invite you all.”
