Dorcas Gachagua ministers at Beacon Hill Church, California

Pastor Dorcas Gachagua, the wife of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, has shared her joy and gratitude after ministering at Beacon Hill Church in California, USA.
Taking to her official X account on Monday, June 9, 2025, Pastor Dorcas expressed how honoured she felt to preach at the vibrant church, where she was warmly welcomed by the resident pastors, Pastor Daniel Kitheka and Pastor Veronica Kitheka.
She shared a powerful message about faith, storms, and God’s presence, drawing inspiration from the Bible story of Jesus calming the storm in Mark 4:35-41.
Pastor Dorcas reminded the congregation that faith does not shield believers from hardships, but it gives them the strength to endure.
“Faith doesn’t exempt us from storms. The journey of faith is often tested by furious winds and raging waves,” she said.
She encouraged believers not to lose hope when facing difficulties, but to call upon Jesus, whose presence brings peace and power.
“But here is our confidence: If Jesus is in your boat, you will not sink. No matter how strong the storm, call upon His name. His presence brings peace. His word carries power. And His promise ensures victory,” she added.
Pastor Dorcas emphasised that struggles are only tests of faith and that true strength comes from God.
“It is only a test. If God is not in it, it won’t stand. But when He is present, that alone makes all the difference. God bless you,” she said.
She was accompanied by Jane Wanjiku, Henry Duarti, and Nelly Duarti during her visit. She thanked the church community for their warm reception and the opportunity to share God’s word.
“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share God’s word with such a vibrant and welcoming congregation,” she said.
Adding;
“When Jesus said, “Let us cross over to the other side,’ the journey was already settled in His spirit. Though there were many boats—big and small—He specifically called His disciples to go with Him. Yet the small boats followed, drawn by the presence of the Master.”
