Nadia Mukami, who is better known as the African Popstar or the Queen from the East, has revealed that she does not plan to have more children after her current pregnancy.

Speaking on a podcast on Sunday, June 8, 2025, the 28-year-old singer said it has always been her dream to be done with pregnancy and childbirth by the age of 30. She noted that she wanted to have her children close in age, with a three-year gap between her first and second-born.

“I am done. I have always wanted to have my kids by 30; I am 28 now, and I wanted to do the whole thing back to back, 3 years spacing,” Nadia said

Nadia, who is already a mother of one, said she had always hoped to have her second child after her son began school. With her son now in school, she said she feels this is the right time to have her second and final child.

“I remember one time I said, ‘I can’t wait for Kai to go to school before I could have begun thinking of the next baby,” Nadia added.

Reflecting on her first pregnancy, Nadia disclosed that it was not planned. She was mentally ready at the time, but her partner, fellow musician Arrow Bwoy, was not.

She also revealed that her current pregnancy, the second, happened while she was on birth control.

According to her, she had previously been diagnosed with a cyst by her gynaecologist, which, after treatment, disappeared. However, the cyst had shifted her coil from its correct position, making it ineffective.

Nadia said she trusted the birth control and did not expect to conceive, but once it happened, she embraced it as part of her journey to complete her family.

“The first pregnancy was not planned, but on this other one, I was treating a cyst. I had really bad cramps; I was screaming. I had a serious cyst; even the doctor could feel it. After I took medication, I was okay. I think at this point I became fertile during that time; now my coil has moved. I never knew anytime from then I could conceive,” she added

During the same interview, the Radio Love hitmaker stated that starting Monday, June 9, 2025, she will embark on her babymoon, where she will be touring various destinations, with the first spot being Limuru, then joined by her husband in Zanzibar, where they will culminate it, as her delivery date nears
